As the daughter of immigrants from Portugal, Lina's interest in immigration law stems from not only her family's experience but also her interest in traveling and other cultures. Lina understands the challenges and uncertainties that immigrants face and works to help them understand the immigration process every step of the way. In a time when immigration changes are creating a lot of uncertainty for individuals and employers alike, Lina’s experience and foresight can provide effective and reassuring guidance.
In her years of experience, Lina has developed expertise in preparing family-based and employment-based options for individuals, families, and employers. This depth of experience allows her to craft solutions that make sense for the client. Lina’s approach has always been first to determine what the short-term and long-term goals are for the client and then partner with the client to set realistic expectations and a path towards meeting the client’s goals. Some of the options in her repertoire include H-1B, E-3, O-1, TN, J-1, J-1 waivers, permanent residency for immediate relative, National Interest Waiver, Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Professor or Researcher, Multinational Manager, and PERM-based filings.
Outside of practicing law Lina enjoys audiobooks, the outdoors, and biking.
